Online Business | Top Pricing Tips For How To Sell An Ebook :: By ...

One of the most important factors for how to sell an eBook is thinking about and creating a correct pricing structure. Do you just pluck a number out of the air, or see what others in the niche are charging and do the same, or do you give real consideration to a very important factor when marketing? It is so important to take time when deciding on your pricing.

Why should this matter and can it really have an effect on the number of eBooks that you actually sell? The asking price of your offer will, from a prospects point of view, mean more than just the amount of money they will have to spend acquiring it. A factor to take into consideration is what does the price that you have set for your offer intimate about you and your product?

The price that you determine for your eBook will give a perception of its relative value or even lack of it in the mind of the prospect. The price you charge can have the effect of lending an air of authority not just to the product but also to yourself. Yet if it appears just too cheap then a prospect could come to the decision that the value of it is not worth the price. If it promises to solve a big problem yet costs very little, it leaves a question, even doubt in the prospect's mind.

If you want to establish yourself as an authority figure in the niche, then low pricing could give the impression that whilst you portray yourself as the person to go to, you appear not to value the information you are making available through offering it at a relatively low price in comparison with the competition. If you can demonstrate and prove that your product or service solves a problem or is of great use then prospects will be very likely to be willing to pay more than you might have first realised. By pricing low, you may put off some from buying as they do not feel that it will contain the quality and answers that you suggest. A higher price can convey an air of authority, authenticity, quality and the real answers that customers having been searching for.

Another factor to consider for how to sell an eBook using the correct price is there is also the case that some customers will only buy a product because it is a certain high price. They are only interested in having the best, the premium product. Asking why that could be the case, the answer is because they can. They are on the lookout for the best and will not have any hesitation to pay top price. Whilst it may only be a humble digital product that you are selling, you have the ability to make it into a very lucrative digital product.

A major factor for attracting the customers willing to pay a higher price is to offer a premium edition of your standard product. You may offer the eBook and some bonuses as the standard offer, yet how about creating a premium package that contains further bonuses, yet make sure they represent real value. There will always be those in your niche that will want to buy the premium product because it exists and they can buy it.

So for how to sell an eBook, you do need to take some time and ensure that your pricing model reflects the exact image that you wish to portray in your chosen market, not forgetting to offer varying price levels to satisfy the spectrum of ready to buy customers.
